Too many families experience abuse -- child abuse, spouse/partner abuse, elder abuse -- in one or more of its many forms: emotional, physical, verbal, sexual, economic. It is expressed through violence, intimidation, abusive language, controlling behavior and exploitation.

More than ever before, people are aware of the painful and often long lasting effects of abusive behavior within the family. No longer does a family member need to suffer silently ó help is available NOW.

Assistance for individuals and entire families seeking help is now available from law enforcement, public and private social service agencies, churches, shelters and the legal and medical communities.

NCCAFV provides this website to assist, inform and link victims with those individuals and agencies who volunteer to serve in this national safety network.

Our assurance to financial partners and donors !

NCCAFV and its American Campaign are committed to using your financial support efficiently and effectively.

In 2013, as documented in the certified audit of our financial statements,  91.8% of your donations provided direct Program Services and only 8.2% for management and fundraising.

The small percentage allocated to support services in management and fundraising is a reliable indication that your donations go directly to the prevention programs of NCCAFV and its American Campaign.

What is #GivingTuesday?

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. This year help us create #GivingTuesday. A new day for giving back.

On Tuesday, 2 December, 2014 charities, families, businesses, community centers, students and more will come together to create #GivingTuesday.

Itís a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give to the American Campaign for Prevention of Child Abuse and Family Violence. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Be a part of a national celebration of our nation's great tradition of generosity.
